Capsized Canoe 2007 Meal Plan

On C.C 2006 we brought WAY too much food. After it was over we calculated we had taken over 10 lbs of food, we did not eat on a 5 day tour of Algonquin. A great vacation for the food, but it made a tough trip a little harder then it had to be for the two guys lugging it around. The flaw in last years meal plan was how we overestimated how hungry we would be...of all the things we learned last year, this might be the most important.

For this year our meals will be less fuss, but very good and filling. After taking a quick look at the food, I would guess that we have about half the food we brought last year...but I am sure we will add to it over the next 10 months.

those were good bars... they were sweet and salty made by Nature Valley I believe.

I like the colour coded bags for each type of meal too...

I can vac seal anything we need to by the way.

Nature Valley...that's right!!! I think they were the yogurt ones?
The peanut butter ones were incredible...

The bags thing just makes things a little easier. I remember spending ++ time looking through our 30 lbs of food...

You have a vacuum sealer...you have a dehydrator, Dude you have all the cool toys. LOL!

I thought the outback oven was OUT of next years trip....I love reading your posts, always interesting. I was on the same route as you in 2006, just a couple of weeks earlier.

Hey Pierre,

The Outback Oven was to be eliminated, but we want to give it another shot on CC 2007. On that trip we will have some pretty leisurely days, plenty of time to fiddle with the Outback Oven.

Thanks for the comments friend!
