Thank you!!!

Two big thumbs-up to all of you that responded to my request for comments! It was so great to see the remarks from the people that actualy read my blog and I will do a seperate post to respond to all of your questions.

I was able to get the 20 comments just in time and I am pleased to tell you that Steve will be reluctantly delivering me a bottle of Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2001 early next week.

Since I would not have won without your help, I will be sharing this bottle with all of you. We will meet in Algonqin Park August 2, 2007 @ 8;30 pm on Robinson Lake . We will share the bottle while we enjoy another Algonquin sunset.

In the event that no one else is available, Gerry and I will be forced to drink your share, but will be thinking of you while we do...

Thanks again!

This is great! I can make it on August 2nd. I can't wait to get into that bottle on the shores of Robinson lake. Island campsite?

Man, I read your blog all the time. Only the birth of my first child has kept me away the past few weeks so I was unable to be included in the pre-Christmas voting but I’m glad to see you made it to 20 anyhow. I’ve been reading since before last summer when I decided to make plans for my first interior trip. It will be shorter, the Petawawa from Travers to McManus, but it’s going to be solo. At first I was going to do it in 2006 but I thought it better to practice on some day trips and save the bigger one for 2007.

I’ve got an old beater of a canoe and was planning on getting a new yoke but through your experience I’ve learned what I really need are the pads. I also like your trip details and the amount of pictures you took. Quality stuff. Normally trippers simply post a few words and a picture or two, you did it proper!

I also missed the official count since I was away! I read your blog all the time. But, I have commented in the past - do I count? Keep the blog coming! Your yoke pad video is definitely a good laugh. We're planning another trip this year even after the disaster trip in the 2006 storm. I'll run your revised route past my friend who grew up in the park and see if he's done it before. Good luck!
